The measured value is displayed on the screen.

3.13 TOTAL HARMONIC DISTORTION (THD) AND DISPLAY OF THE

HARMONICS ORDER

The instrument measures the total harmonic distortion with respect to the funda-

mental (THDf), the total harmonic distortion with respect to the true RMS value of

the signal (THDr) in voltage and in current, then the level (with respect to the

fundamental), frequency, and RMS value of each order of harmonic.

The frequency of the fundamental is determined by digital filtering and FFT for

the network frequencies of 50, 60, 400, and 800Hz.
