Wiring the Winch
For winch to fully function, connect all leads
correctly.

CAUTION
NEVER route electrical cables across any sharp edges,
through and/or near moving parts, or near parts that
may become hot.

CAUTION
Battery cables should not be drawn taut. Leave some
slack for cable movement.
1.
Connect the battery leads:
1a. Connect the red (+) lead to the positive (+)
terminal of the vehicle’s 12 volt battery.
1b. Connect the black (–) lead to the negative (–)
terminal of the vehicle’s 12 volt battery. (see
wiring diagram)

Connect the quick connect leads:
2a. Insert the male quick connect into the female
quick connect to complete the wiring.
3. Attach the remote lead to the winch and test for
proper operation.
4.
Check for proper drum rotation.
Pull and turn the
clutch knob to the “out” position (Free spooling).
Pull out some rope from the drum, and then turn
the clutch knob to the “In” position to engage the
gears. Press the rope out button on the handlebar
switch. If the drum is turning and releasing more
rope then your connections are accurate. If the
drum is turning and collecting more rope then
reverse the leads on the motor. Repeat and check
rotation.
