Owner and Installer
must
read all warnings and safety precautions.
2.
Make sure concrete mounting pad is big enough and deep enough for operator.
3.
Operator must be
securely
fastened to concrete pad or mounting plate.
4.
Operator arm must be
level
and welded properly to gate.
5.
Rectangular tubes on operator arm must be
completely
welded around.
6.
When gate is pulled,
No
slippage of operator arm should occur.
7.
Gate operator to be grounded to an earth ground rod within 3 feet of operator.
8.
Verify that power is connected properly.
Know where the main power disconnect is for operator(s).
9.
Verify that the gate opens and closes as needed.
10.
When gate hits object during operation, it
must
stop or reverse direction.
11.
Know how to operate the emergency manual release.
12.
Make sure that any pinch point or potential entrapment are guarded by means of entrapment protection devices or like.
13.
Warning placards need to be permanently mounted on
both
sides of gate.
14.
Test all additional equipment connected to operator.
15.
Make sure all wire connections are
securely
fastened.
16.
Review typical maintenance on operator.
17.
Schedule periodic maintenance on operator by qualified service technician.
18.
Inquire about Manufacturers “operator warranty.” (Warranty Card included with operator.)
19.
Inquire about
separate
“installation warranty” with installer.
