RISKS OF WORKING AREA.
•
Slips, trips and falls are the main causes of accidents in the workplace. Be careful with
slippery surfaces caused by the use of the Nailer and also with the risk of tripping caused
by the compressed air hose.
•
Be careful in unfamiliar environments. Hidden hazards, such as electricity or other utility
lines, may be present. The Nailer is not insulated against contact with electrical power.
•
The Nailer is not intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
•
Make sure there are no electric cables, gas pipes, etc. This can pose a danger if they are
damaged by use.
NOISE RISKS.
•
Exposure to high noise levels can cause disabling and permanent hearing loss and other
problems, such as ringing, ringing, or whistling. Therefore, a risk assessment and the
application of adequate controls are essential.
•
Appropriate controls to reduce risk may include actions, such as cushioning materials to
prevent peeling of work material.
•
Work and maintain the Nailer as recommended in the instruction manual, to prevent an
unnecessary increase in noise level.
•
Use acoustic protection in accordance with the instructions contained in this manual and
as required by occupational health and safety regulations.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR PNEUMATIC TOOLS.
•
Compressed air can cause injury: Never direct air toward yourself or anyone else.
•
Hitting the hose can cause serious injury. Always check that the hose is not damaged, is not
missing, and is not loose.
•
When using a universal swing fitting (claw coupling), a locking pin and cables must be
installed to protect against possible failure of the hose-Nailer and hose-hose connection.
•
Never exceed the maximum pressure indicated in the Nailer specifications.
•
Never transport the Nailer by pulling on the air hose.
VIBRATION RISKS.
•
Exposure to vibrations can cause discomfort to the nerves and blood supply to the hands
and arms.
•
Bundle up when working in cold conditions and keep your hands warm and dry.
•
If you experience numbness, tingling, pain, or whitening of the skin on your fingers or
hands, stop working and rest. If symptoms still persist after a while, consult a medical
service.
•
Support the weight of the tool, whenever possible with a support or a balancer where you
can support the Nailer.
