2.6.3 Preliminary settings: Orientation of the accelerometer and
projection Time
In whole body (W) measurements the orientation of the accelerometer should be selected
(backrest position or seated position) for the correct adjustment of the reference axes.
Before starting to measure, check that the accelerometer orientation indicated by the VC431
is correct (see 2.6.1).
To evaluate exposure to vibrations for measuring times below the exposure times the VC431
calculates the projected daily exposure to vibration that corresponds to the daily exposure to
vibration that would exist if measurement time were the same as the projection time.
For this purpose, simply enter the projection time (tp) that corresponds to the forecast
exposure to noise time. By default, the
VC431 assigns 8 hours to the projection time, but this
value can be modified.
To modify orientation time and the tp value:

Make sure that the measurement has been stopped

Press button

Select the right orientation (backrest or seat ) by means of and

Validate with
The VC431 will then highlight the value of the hours of the tp (projection time) in bold

Choose the numerical value by means of and

Validate with
Repeat the process to modify the minutes.
The projection time tp (hh:mm) may take values:

From 0 to 24 for HH (Hours)
o
From 0 to 55 for mm (minutes) in 5-minute steps
