Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact
accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, seek urgent medical help while
flushing the eyes with water.
Liquid may cause irritation or burns.
Servicing
Have your power tool serviced by a qualified tool repair person using identical replacement
parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
Follow instructions given in the Maintenance section of this manual. Use of unauthorized parts
or failure to follow maintenance instructions may create a risk of shock or injury.
Specific Rules for Hedge Clipper
Keep all parts of your body away from the cutter blade. Do not remove cut material or hold
material to be cut while the blades are moving. Make sure the switch is off when clearing
jammed material.
A moment on inattention while operating the hedge trimmer may result in
serious personal injury.
Carry the hedge trimmer by the handle with the cutter blade stopped. When transporting a
storing the hedge trimmer, always attach the cutting device cover.
Proper handle of the hedge
trimmer will reduce possible personal injury from the cutter blades.
Keep cables away from cutting area. During operation, cables may be hidden in shrubs and can
be accidentally cut by the blade.
Check hedge for hidden foreign objects eg wire fences.
Use both hands when operating the hedge trimmer. Using one hand can lead to loss of control,
which may result in serious personal injury.
WARNING : Only use with the handle and guard properly assembled to the hedge trimmer. The
use of the hedge trimmer without the proper guard or handle provided may result in serious
personal injury.
DANGER: Keep hands away from the blade.
Contact with the blade will result in serious
personal injury.
Hold the power tool by the insulated gripping surfaces only, as the cutter blade may contact
hidden wiring.
Cutter blades contacting a "live" wire may make exposed metal parts of the
power tool "live", which can result in the operator receiving an electric shock.
Never allow children or people unfamiliar with these instructions and warnings to use the unit.
Check the tool to ensure that all mounted parts are properly secured and inspect it for damage
and excessive wear. Do not operate tool if the blade protector is damaged.
Take care to have a safe stance when working. Take care when stepping backwards to ensure
you don't trip or stumble.
Examine the working area before you start working with the unit. Remove any foreign objects.
Watch out for foreign bodies when working with the unit. Should you encounter an obstacle
during cutting, turn off the trimmer and remove the obstacle.
If the cutting blades are blocked, turn device off and disconnect from the power source, then
remove the object using another blunt object. Never try to remove a blockage with your finger
as the blades are preloaded and may cause serious injuries.
Make sure you do not overload the device and only use it for tasks it has been designed for.
