Reducing the stroke rate is recommended when the saw blade engages in the
material as well as when sawing plastic and aluminium.
After long periods of work at low stroke rate, the unit can heat up considerably.
Remove the saw blade from the unit and allow it to cool down by running it for
approximately 3 minutes at maximum stroke rate.

Protection against Deep Discharge
The lithium ion battery is protected against deep discharging by the “Electronic
Cell Protection (ECP)”. When the battery is empty, the unit is switched off by
means of a protective circuit.

Working Advice

When sawing thin or small workpieces, always use a firm support.

Contact Protector

The contact protector (9) attached to the casing prevents accidental touching
of the saw blade during the working procedure and must not be removed.

Maintenance and Servicing

To prevent serious injury or death from accidental operation, turn the Power
Switch of the tool to its “OFF” position and disconnect battery pack from tool
before performing any inspection, maintenance, or cleaning procedures.

Clean out dust and debris from vents and electrical contacts by blowing
with compressed air. Always wear safety goggles when cleaning tools
with compressed air.

Keep tool handles clean, dry and free of oil or grease.

Use only mild soap and a damp cloth to clean the tool, keeping away from
all electrical contacts.

Note

: Certain cleaning agents and solvents are harmful to plastics and other

insulated parts. Some of these include gasoline, turpentine, lacquer thinner,
paint thinner, chlorinated cleaning solvents, ammonia and household detergents
containing ammonia.

Tool maintenance must only be performed by qualified repair personnel. If the
tool is not working properly, do not attempt to repair it yourself. Contact the
Kogan customer support team.
