Guidance for Advanced Operations

MULTIHANDSET FUNCTIONS

 

You may register a total of 4 HANDSETS to your BASE unit. The expanded 

handsets (chargers) do not need to be connected to a phone line. You can 

place them wherever you like. When you have several handsets you can use 

the following functions:

CONFERENCE CALL

 

When one handset is in communication, all the other handsets will display 

‘LINE IN USE’. When another handset joins in the talk, all the other handsets 

will display ‘ON CONFERENCE’

INVITING

1. Press

 [INTERCOM]

 to display ‘CALL ON HOLD’ on the screen.

2. Press   to select the handset you would like to invite and then press 

O K

.

•  In case there are only two handsets, then you do not have to select. 

The pressing of 

[INTERCOM] 

will directly page the other handset.

•  Before the invited handset answers, press 

[INTERCOM]

 again for 

canceling.

3. When the screen is displaying ‘ON INTERCOM’, the invited handset 

already has joined in, press 

O K

 again.

4. ‘ON CONFERENCE’ displayed on the screen shows that the 

conference call is beginning.

JOIN IN

-  Press 

 or

 [SPK]

.

QUIT

-  Any handset can quit the conference call by pressing 

.

•  At most, two handsets can be ON CONFERENCE CALL with the  

incoming caller.

•  One handset hanging up will quit the CONFERENCE CALL; once the 

second handset hangs up the call is finished.

PAGING

1. Press 

[INTERCOM]

2. Press    to select the handset you want to call or select all, and then 

press 

O K

.

•  If there are only two handsets, then you do not have to select. 

Pressing [INTERCOM] will directly page the other handset.

•  Before the invited handset answers, press [INTERCOM] again for 

canceling.

3. When the invited handset answers and  ‘ON INTERCOM’ displays on 

LCD, the talking can begin.
