–
ensure that the air filters have been cleaned;
–
connect the AC to power supply;
–
install the batteries into the RC unit.
6. TROUBLESHOOTING
1
The AC will not
turn on
– T
he plug is not firmly inserted in the
power socket
–
RC batteries are depleted
– O
verload safety has been tripped
– I
nsufficient power system voltage
2
The air is not
cooled / heated
– A
ir intake / exhaust openings blocked
–
Wrong temperature setting
– A
ir filter contaminated
3
AC control
malfunctions
The appliance can malfunction
because of high interference (high
static electricity levels, power supply
interruptions). In this case disconnect the
AC from power supply and connect again
after 2 or 3 seconds
4
Delayed
operation
Operating mode changes during
operation may take up to 3 minutes
5
Unpleasant odor The AC can absorb unpleasant smells
(e.g. furniture smells, cigarette smoke)
which are then expelled with the exhaust
air
6
Running water
sound
– C
aused by refrigerant circulation in the
system and is not a malfunction
– D
efrosting sound during heating
7
Crackling sound The crackling is caused by the
temperature expansion or contraction of
the front panel
8
Moisture
sprayed out of
the exhaust
opening
Moisture occurs if the air in the room
becomes very cold because of cold air
discharge in the cooling or drying mode
9
Delayed air
discharge in the
HEAT mode
The AC is not capable of immediate hot air
discharge. Please wait for 2-5 minutes
10
Air discharge
interrupts for
5-10 minutes
in the heating
mode
The appliance defrosts automatically,
perspiration appears on the outer
surface. After defrosting the unit will
automatically resume operation
11
The RC unit
does not work
correctly
– O
bstacles between the signal receiver
and the RC unit
–
RC batteries are depleted
7. AIR CONDITIONER INSTALLATION
ATTENTION!
–
Carefully read the present manual before installing the equipment.
–
Installation work should only be done by qualified and certified
personnel in compliance with the Electrical Installation Regulations
(PUE).
–
The air conditioner should be securely earthed.
–
Carefully check all pipeline and cable connections before turning
the AC on.
–
Do not install the appliance in a laundry room or bathroom.
–
The power cable plug should be accessible after installation of the
appliance.
–
The installation of the AC may require parts not included in the scope
of supply. Such parts shall be purchased separately.
INDOOR UNIT LOCATION
There are two ways to mount the indoor unit: on the ceiling and on
the floor.
Ceiling Installation
–
Choose the basis for the suspension. The suspension is a structure
made of wooden framework or reinforced concrete. Make sure
that the suspension will withstand a weight exceeding 20 kg and
vibrations for a prolonged time.
–
Fasten the suspension base. Attach the suspension fastening bolts to
the steel or wooden brackets.
–
Suspend the indoor units. The indoor units should be suspended as
shown in Figures 3 and 4 of the Appendix.
–
After installing the unit ensure that it is securely fastened, does not
shake or swing.
ATTENTION!
After installation the rear end of the unit should hang
lower than the front end (see Fig. 4 of the Appendix). Otherwise the
drainage water may exit from the air exhaust opening.
–
Drainage tube installation. The drainage tube should be properly
routed to prevent accumulation of condensate. The tube should be
mounted with a gradient (1/100-150) to provide free diversion of
condensate. Avoid ascending sections to prevent condensate buildup
(see Fig. 6 of the Appendix).
Floor Installation
When mounted on the floor the indoor unit should be installed
horizontally or sloped to divert condensate (see Fig. 5 of the Appendix).
OUTDOOR UNIIT LOCATION
The location of the outdoor unit has a direct impact on its operation.
The following requirements should be observed while selecting the
location to ensure the highest efficiency of the outdoor unit:
–
Away from heat sources, flammable gases and fumes.
–
In a well-ventilated space protected from rain, snow and direct
sunlight.
–
The properly installed outdoor unit should not interfere with the
surroundings with its noise and the sound of water exiting from the
drainage tube.
–
The mounting location shall be easily accessible for maintenance.
–
The outdoor unit should be mounted on a stable and secure base
which will not result in increased noise or vibrations.
–
To ensure high efficiency check that the front, rear, right and left
sides of the unit are free from obstructions.
The Appendix contains pictures with examples of the right or wrong
unit installation.
After choosing the mounting location the outdoor unit should be
installed in accordance with Fig. 8 of the Appendix, in order to provide
sufficient space for ventilation and proper maintenance.
The two units are connected with an electric cable and two tubes.
