1.7) “MND” type spindle

PRM-U type detachable guard:
stainless steel telescopic element, controlled by the return
springs, which provides protection for the auger. The lower end is threaded for attachment of the
TPM
end piece.

threaded centring device for attachment to the

end pieces are available, with diff erent diameters, to suit diff erent size bushes (see § 3.2).
1.10) Return springs
: to assist the retraction of the auger from the sleeper on completion of the
drilling operation and to reduce operator eff ort.
