7 Operation

7.1 Operating machine
The machine is operated hand-guided by a person. The operator aligns the machine on the
cut. Then the operator begins cutting.
Pay particular attention to the following possible malfunctions:
• Do unusual noises occur?
• Do unusual vibrations occur?
• Does unusual smoking occur?
Should a malfunction be noticed, stop the machine immediately. Eliminate the cause of the
malfunction, inasmuch as you are authorised to do so. Do not continue to operate the ma-
chine until it is ensured that the machine operates properly.

7.2.1 Conditions
Before putting the machine into operation, it must be ensured that the following questions
can be answered with "Yes":
• Is all safety equipment, as provided by the manufacturer, fitted and properly operational?
• Are only authorised persons in the working areas of the machine?
• There are no persons in the danger areas of the machine?
• No one can be injured when the machine starts up?
• The operator knows how to behave in case of malfunctions?
