The new KAZA DT 390 MTR LIVE is not a normal detector or warning unit, it is a device that receives
and transmits input from thousands of KAZA users in real time.
Do not use the KAZA LIVE DT 390 MTR unit to avoid speed limit controls, but rather to promote safer
driving conditions. The device will remind you of the limits that should be complied with at all times,
aiding you to avoid mistakes or blunders that may lead to accidents or speeding fines.
Don't handle the unit while driving, since this may lead to distractions, deviating your attention from
the road.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
By default, the device will only work as a GPS warning unit. The detector’s factory setting is turned off,
and the star in the center of the compass is also turned off.
To connect the detector, press the “R” or “C” key during 3 seconds as soon as you turn on the unit
until you hear “Consult the legislation in your country, radar activated”. At this time, the yellow star in
the center of the compass will turn on. Now your device works as GPS warning unit and radar
detector.

Use recommendations for the Mobile and Fixed Radar Detector KAZA LIVE DT 390 MTR.
Place it near the glass completely parallel to the road and facing forwards.
Place it at a height so that neither the windshield wipers nor any other object hinders the
vision of the detector.
Do not place on the sunshade if the glass has a tinted sun protection area since the detector
won't work correctly.
Make sure that your vehicle doesn't have athermal glass windows with lead. With this type of
windshields, the detector won't work correctly.
An athermal window has a metal layer with lead inside the windshield. This metal layer can cancel
or weaken the signal emitted by the radars, thereby reducing or cancelling the intensity of the signal
that reaches the detector. This may cause the detector to require more time to work, or it may not
capture the signal. In these athermal glasses, there is an area of black points behind the rear-view
mirror where there is no metallic layer, and this is where we recommend placing the portable
detector to improve reception capacity.
The detection distances depend on many factors: installation and orientation of the detector,
configuration, radar type, amount of traffic, interferences, etc., but mainly it depends on the radar
type.
