Do not place the grill on a surface covered with fabric such
as a tablecloth.
•
Never place grills on flammable objects, such as curtains,
or next to them.
•
Keep a distance of at least 100 cm between the grill and
flammable materials during cleaning.
•
Do not use the grill in potentially explosive atmospheres or
places with flammable materials. These include fuel sto-
rage areas such as ship‘s deck, fuel station or fuel tank
surroundings, an environment in which the air contains
flammable substances (eg grain, metallic dust, etc.).
Warnings about property damage
•
Never place objects on the grid.
•
Place the grill on a flat, rigid and heat-resistant surface
protected against splashing water.
•
Do not expose the grill to extremely low or high tempe-
ratures.
Battery
•
Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the
batteries. Follow the pictures that are located inside the
battery compartment. Do not try to charge the batteries
and do not dispose of them in a fire.
•
Do not use different types of batteries at the same time (old
and new or carbon and alkaline, etc.).
•
Remove the batteries if you do not use the device for
extended periods of time. Unsuitable use may cause an
explosion or leakage of the electrolyte.
•
Batteries must not be opened or deformed, as leakages
and injuries may occur. In case of electrolyte contact with
your skin or eyes, immediately rinse them with plenty of
water and seek medical attention.
•
Remove the batteries if you do not use the grill for an ex-
tended period of time.
Before you start
Unpack the device. First, make sure that all parts are comple-
te and undamaged. Keep the packaging out of the reach of
children and dispose of it appropriately.
The grill can be placed directly on the dining table and you can
prepare dishes here.
Danger of fire!

Inserting batteries
•
The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the
box with the fan.
•
Take out the entire box with the fan.
•
Open the lid of the battery compartment on the bottom
side.
•
Insert four 1.5V AA batteries into the bin. Always pay atten-
tion to right polarity.
•
Close the battery compartment cover. Verify that the latch
snaps again to prevent the cover from being opened so the
batteries can not fall out.
•
Slide the box with fan inside until it clicks. The grill is now
ready for operation.
Getting Started
When you first turn on the grill, allow the grill to warm up for
about 30 minutes before first cooking.
There may be some smoke when heating. For this reason,
grill must be warmed for 10 to 15 minutes before the first meal
preparation.
•
Wash the grill with warm water and detergent. Remove
dust and any remaining packaging material.
•
Place the grill on a flat, non-sliping and dry surface.
•
Remove the cast iron grid.
•
Remove the charcoal container and pour approximately
0.25 kg of charcoal into the charcoal tray til its top edge.
Warning - Do not use any fuel other than charcoal.
•
Apply a firestarter around the bowl center. Be careful not
to use alcohol or gasoline to ignite! Use only lighters in
accordance with EN 1860-3!
•
Ignite the firestarter in the bowl. Danger of burns! Do not
touch open fire!
•
Rotate the fan actuator to the MAX position. The fan must
be switched on before inserting the charcoal container,
otherwise the flame will suffocate.
•
Insert the charcoal filled tray into the grill. Danger of burns!
When inserting the tray, make sure you do not burn.
•
Reinstall the cast iron grid.
•
When the charcoal is covered with ash, you can put food
on the grid. If there is an undesirable flame turbulence du-
ring the burning of the coal, it will limit the air supply to the
control wheel.
•
Then you can prepare your grilled dishes. Once you have
more experience, you can control the fan speed and hence
the intensity of the heat. In this way, you can grill more
delicates.
•
Turn the grill off. Turn the knob counterclockwise until it
