Assembly Process:
There are multiple ways to install the FPV video transmitter / antenna on the SuperLight. We believe the best method is
to use our included mount. This mount is made of flexible TPU material and will allow the antenna and SMA to move
during crashes instead of being completely fixed and rigid. A rigid install for the SMA and FPV antenna can eventually
lead to crash damage from roll-overs. In order to best facilitate this installation scenario we suggest a VTX with
integrated SMA pigtail such as the Hawkeye 200mW or TBS Unify Pro. A VTX without integrated SMA pigtail can be used
on the SuperLight, however you will need to determine another method to mount it.
Install the Vtx unit to the
Upper Fuselage Plate as shown using double sided stick tape. Position the VTX near the edge of the plate
so there is ample access to channel dip switches. Next, attach the SMA assembly to the mount as shown. Install the FPV antenna.
Install the Upper Fuselage Plate as shown. Verify the FPV antenna is running up through the slot in the rear of the fuselage plate then
secure it in place by threading a zip tie through the two slots on either side of the antenna. This zip tie is
very important . It serves as a
stress relief for the antenna and SMA during crashes.
