15.2 Operating modes:
The unit is to be operated in various operating modes. The following list shows the
operating modes that are possible with the device:
“Microwave” mode
This operation mode is suitable for defrosting, heating and cooking.
“Grill” mode
This mode is suitable for frying and gratinating flat grill food.
“Microwave and Grill” mode
This operating mode is suitable for simultaneous microwave cooking and grilling.
Combination 1 - MW /Grill 1 In this operating mode, the device works in microwave mode
for 30% of the cooking time and in grill mode for 70% of the cooking time.
Combination 2 - MW /Grill 2 In this operating mode, the device works in microwave mode
for 49% of the cooking time and in grill mode for 51% of the cooking time.
Combination 3 - MW /Grill 3 In this operating mode, the device works in microwave mode
for 67% of the cooking time and in grill mode for 33% of the cooking time.
“Defrost” mode
This operation mode is suitable for defrosting of frozen food.
15.3 Information on microwave cookware
The ideal material for microwave cookware is permeable for microwaves and allows the
energy to penetrate the container and warm up the food.
Please observe the following tips when selecting the correct cookware:
► Microwaves cannot penetrate metal. Therefore, you should not use utensils made of
metal or cookware with metal trim.
► For microwave cooking, do not use any products made from recycled paper, as they
could contain tiny metal fragments, which could cause sparks and/or result in fire.
► Do not use any aluminium foil when using the microwave or combinations with the
microwave (see following table).
