3.5 Error messages and solutions
The BC 131 SD automatically performs a self-test after powering on. lf one of the following error messages
is displayed, usually a sensor is blocked by dust or banknotes are still in the stacker. Remove the
banknotes or use a brush / soft cloth to clean the sensor and then restart the machine. In any scenario
where an error (message) can’t be solved, contact your supplier! Changes made to the machine by
the end user (hardware and software) will void the warranty.

Remove the banknote and clear away the dust

Rotate speed sensor or
main motor
Clean the conveyor belt / encoder wheel of the rotate
speed sensor.

Clean the 24 IR sensor or replace it

Resume to factory setting
Sometimes error messages appear during usage. Please follow the instructions below to solve them:

Eh
Banknote is damaged or folded. Please remove the notes and count again.
EJ/EC
Some banknotes are connected or overlapped: take all the notes and count them
again. If the error message frequently occurs, adjust the vertical adjusting screw
slightly in clockwise direction (+)
ES
The banknotes are not fed straight into the machine. Ensure the banknotes are placed
neatly and inserted centered on the hopper. Use the hopper guides to center the
banknote when counting a large stack of banknotes and guide the notes also with
your hands during counting.
Ed
The dimensions of the note do not match the standard settings. Please remove the
notes and count again.
FUL
There are more than 220 banknotes in the stacker. Please remove the banknotes to
continue the counting.

the problem occurs often, contact your supplier.

strong light source since this may be disrupt the UV sensors. Clean sensors and remove
any dust that may have accidentally blocked sensors. When the problem occurs
often, contact your supplier.
