• Internal hydraulic coupler leakage into the case drain
line of the hydraulic coupler
• Too much oil flow through the implement connection of
the case drain line
Worn implement male couplers
1. Inspect the implement male coupler tips.
2. If worn or there is damage, replace.
Internal hydraulic coupler leakage into the case drain
line of the hydraulic coupler
If one of the remote couplers leaks, the remote cou-
pler will return oil through the case drain port to the
reservoir. If the remote coupler leaks, the remote
coupler could pressurize this drain port and cause
the remote couplers to pop out. To check for this
condition:
■ Inspect the implement male couplers (see above).
■ If the implement coupler tips are not worn or do not
have damage, install a gauge in the case drain port
in the remote manifold. This location is the plug just
above the motor return port.

○ Energize each valve in extend and retract.
○ If the pressure increases when you energize one
valve, then that hydraulic coupler has an internal
leak.
NOTE:
Replace that hydraulic coupler cartridge and
the seals.
Too much oil flow through the implement connection
of the case drain line
○ The implement case drain tees into the coupler
of the case drain line. A high flow rate of the case
drain for the implement can cause pressure to build
up in the case drain line of the hydraulic coupler.
This high flow rate can cause the hydraulic couplers
to pop out of place. You normally see this condition
with the operation of a hydraulic fan or hydraulic
motor such as an air seeder in cold, ambient condi-
tions.
■ Perform a test for internal hydraulic coupler leak-
age (see above).
