8 - MaIN OPTIONs aND aCCEssORIEs
Depending on the applications for which the units are
selected, they can be equipped with options. This chapter
describes the main components that require special infor-
mation for correct start-up and maintenance of these units,
except where this is contained in a separate document.
8.1 - Units for low evaporator outlet temperature
applications (options 5 and 6)
Compressors (option 5 or 6)
The capacity reductions are suppressed. The number of
capacity stages is the same as the number of compressors.
Each compressor is equipped with a temperature sensor
located in the discharge block which permits control of the
discharge gas temperature.
expansion devices (option 5 or 6)
The expansion devices are chosen in accordance with the
operating conditions supplied when the unit was ordered.
evaporator (option 6)
This is designed and made of special materials, and permits
operation down to -15°C fluid-side. The evaporator shell
has double thermal insulation of polyurethane foam (2 x
19 mm).
Condensers (option 6)
Because the thermal heat rejection is less important, the
condensers are down-graded by one size.
8.2 - Electrical protection to IP44 (option 20)
The control boxes and compressor terminal boxes are
designed to provide protection in accordance with class
IP44 CW.
8.3 - high- and low-pressure gauges (option 26)
The units are equipped with a high-pressure gauge and a
low-pressure gauge on each circuit.
8.4 - Compressor oil pressure safety device
Each compressor is equipped with a pressure sensor located
on the oil pump outlet.
The normal oil pressure for 06E compressors is 82 kPa to
124 kPa above the suction pressure.
8.5 - Condenser with CuNi tubes (option 33)
The condensers are manufactured with Copper-Nickel
90/10 tubes and plated CuNi 90/10 tube sheets.
8.6 - Rs 485 communication interface (option 148)
Each unit is equipped with an additional interface board
which permits unit connection to a JBus network.
8.7 - additional capacity step 30hZ/hZV 043 to 065
(option 94)
Compressor B1 of the 30HZ 043-065 units is equipped with
a capacity reduction that increases the available capacity
steps to five steps.
8.8 - Evaporator pump starter (options 84 and 84D)
Option 84: single evaporator pump
Option 84D: dual evaporator pump
The unit control boxes are equipped with a disconnect-
contactor assembly (2 for option 84D) that allows control
of the evaporator pump.
8.9 - Condenser pump starter (option 84R)
The unit control boxes are equipped with a disconnect-
contactor assembly that allows control of the condenser
pump.
