To conserve battery life, you can set the driver to turn off battery backup after a

Incoming power - replaceable 3 Amp Pico

fuse

Network connections - non-replaceable internal solid-state polyswitches reset

themselves when fault clears
Power, network, I/O connections - protected against voltage transient and surge

events

BT485 connector

You can install a BT485 (#BT485 - sold separately) to an MPC Open XP at the

beginning and end of a network segment to add bias and to terminate a network

segment.

Status indicators

LED's indicate status of communications and low battery status. Seven segment

display indicates running, error, and power status.
