Installation
Units that have been factory provisioned for installation
of a communication interface module (CIM) have the
required wiring installed. If the unit is not factory
provisioned, a provision wiring kit (Carrier Transicold
part number 76-00685-00) must be installed.
Installation instructions are packaged with the kit. To
install the module, do the following:
WARNING
Installation requires wiring to the main unit
circuit breaker, CB1. Make sure the power to
the unit is off and power plug disconnected
before beginning installation.
a. CB1 is connected to the power system, see wiring
schematic. Ensure that the unit power is off AND
that the unit power plug is disconnected.
b. Open control box, see Figure 6--27 and remove low
voltage shield. Open high voltage shield.
c. If using factory provisioned wiring, remove the
circuit breaker panel, with circuit breaker, from the
control box. Locate, wires CB21/CIA3, CB22/CIA5
and CB23/CIA7 that have been tied back in the wire
harness. Remove the protective heat shrink from
the ends of the wires.
d. Refit the circuit breaker panel.
e. Fit the new CIM into the unit.
f.
Attach three wires CB21/CIA3, CB22/CIA5 and
CB23/CIA7 to the CIM at connection CIA.
g. Locate connectors CIA & CIB, remove plugs if
required, and attach to the module.
h. Replace the low voltage shield.
