for, and should not be connected
to, a natural gas supply line.
7. Connect the regulator hose assembly to an LP
cylinder, as described in section “5.4 Connecting the
LP Cylinder” on page 13.
8. Perform the Soapy Water Test, as described in
section “5.5 Soapy Water Test” on page 14.
9. Follow the safety and cooking guidelines, as
described in section “6. Cooking Guidelines” on
page 16.
Never use a cooking pot or
other vessel that does not
correctly fit inside the safety ring.
5.4 Connecting the LP Cylinder
5.4.1 Safety Instructions
• Do not connect this appliance to any other fuel
supply source, such as natural gas.
• If the regulator is not working correctly, do not
attempt to adjust or repair it.
• Never use an LP cylinder if it shows signs of dents,
gouges, bulges, fire damage, corrosion, leakage,
excessive rust, or other forms of visual external
dam age. This type of damage may be hazardous
and should be checked by an LP service technician.
Keep the fuel supply hose away
from any heated surface(s).
5.4.2 Connecting Instructions
1. Make sure the LP cylinder is upright and the valve is
closed by turning the knob clockwise.

2. Remove the protective cap from the LP cylinder
valve, if installed.
3. Connect the hose and gas regulator assembly to the
LP cylinder.
Be careful not to cross thread
the connector. Hand tighten only.
Do not use tools to tighten this connection.
4. Make sure the hose is not kinked and is routed away
from any sharp edges or hot surface. The LP cylinder
should be placed at least 24 inches away from the
appliance.
The supply hose can be a trip
hazard. Tripping over the gas
supply hose can cause spillage of hot oil or food,
resulting in serious burns. Place the LP cylinder away
from human or pet traffic. Do not walk between the
appliance and the LP cylinder.
