Pump stop pressure to be set 10 bar [145psi] above pump maximium working pressure - see pump
manual.
Upper inlet pressure limit to 80 bar [1160 psi]
Pump over pressure limit to pump model maximum - see pump manual.
Pump over pressure timer to 3 seconds
Pump priming using local control box (Pump Nudge) :-
The pump will respond to the changes in system fluid flow demand, (due to variable material usage),
by dynamically adjusting the speed of the pump, thus maintaining the set pressure.
Before any system pressure testing takes place; careful pump and system priming is required to
remove all air from the pump and system.
All guarding is in place.
The control circuit is correctly wired for the pressure switch and that pressure sensors are calibrated
correctly.
Within the pump control software set :-
Regular Checks
Before starting ensure:-
All electrical and mechanical connections are correctly made.
All required interlocks are tested and operational.
Suitable material for pumping is available at the inlet port.
Open loop pump speed to 6 HZ
SYSTEM OPERATION
WARNING!
Follow maintenance schedule including packing check after first four hours of operation.
Smart Mode (closed loop)
For specific pump to be primed, Set "pump function" selector switch on Smart HP control cabinet to
OFF position.
Open pump priming ball valve. Ensure a suitable material collection device is placed under priming
valve outlet.
Rotate "pump function" dial on Smart HP control cabinet to maintenance mode.
Make sure material is available at inlet of the pump (e.g. open inlet ball valve) & close system outlet
ball valve.
Close priming ball valve, open system ball valve.
Using the "Nudge" switch on the local control cabinet, run the pump until material is flowing out of
the priming valve without air contamination, stop "Nudge" function.
Switch control panel to Open Loop (Flow Mode).
Switch system to Closed Loop (Production Mode) as required.
