Make one pull of the blade in the left slot as described above and then repeat the same action
in the right slot of stage 1. Hold the right face of the knife against the right face of the right slot
when you pull the knife thru the right slot. In order to keep the consistency of edge, sharpening
in the left slot and right slot should be alternative until knife is sharp. Generally, about 5 pairs
of pulls will be OK, but knives with high hardness such as Damascus knives and ceramic knives,
or very blunt and damaged knife shall be sharpen around 10 pairs or more.
Stage 2 : Fine Honing
Stage 2 used for remove burrs and polish the edge so that it is
more smooth and sharp.
Fine honing is operated in stage 2, process of fine honing is
same to process of coarse sharpening.
Generally speaking, it is suggested to sharpen the knife once a
week.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
a)
Dismantle, clean up and install the sharpening head.
1)
Dismantle the sharpening head: rotate the sharpening head clockwise and pull out the
sharpening head after rotation suspension.
2)
Clean up the sharpening head: take the wheel guard cover out of sharpening head, and
reinstall the cover after emptying out the sharpening debris.
3)
Install the sharpening head: insert the sharpening head into sharpener body and rotate the
sharpening head counterclockwise until stop.
b)
Common Faults and Solutions
1)
Motor doesn’t work:

Check whether the connection between socket of adapter and port of sharpener is in place

Check whether the adapter is out of work and sharpening head is removed or whether the
sharpening head is in nomral operation position and is rotated back to designated position
while replacing the sharpening head.
2)
No work after sharpening:
-
Whether the sharpening is conducted correctly according to the description in the
instruction

If sharpening head is damaged, the new sharpening head is required to be replaced.
3)
During sharpening, the trail occurrence on the plastic slot of sharpener contacted by the
blade is normal.
c)
Safety instructions

Unplug power source before maintenance.

Always pull the knife toward you. Never push the knife away from you.

Always sharpen alternately in the left and right slots of both stages.

Do not twist the knife when sharpening.

Keep constant force and speed during sharpening.

Cleaning by dishwasher is forbidden, the exterior of sharpener should be cleaned up by a soft cloth,
don’t immerse the sharpener into water or other liquid.
