Verwijdering van het apparaat
Europese richtlijn 2012/19/EG inzake Afgedankte elektrische en elektronische apparatuur (WEEE),
vereist dat oude huishoudelijke electrische apparaten niet worden geworpen in de normale stroom
van huishoudelijk afval. Oude apparaten moeten apart worden ingezameld met het oog op de
terugwinning en recycling van gebruikte materialen te optimaliseren en de impact op de menselijke
gezondheid en het milieu.
Het apparaat is niet bedoeld voor gebruik door personen (met inbegrip van kinderen) met verlaagde
fysieke, sensorische of mentale vermogens, of met gebrek aan ervaring en kennis, tenzij zij leiding of
instructies hebben ontvangen betreffende het gebruik van het apparaat door middel van een persoon
die voor hun veiligheid verantwoordelijk is. Kinderen moeten worden gecontroleerd om te garanderen
dat zij niet met het apparaat spelen.

HOW TO USE IT
This device is designed to sharpen kitchen knives, pocket knives or other metal or ceramic knives.
Do not use scissors, razor blades or any other blade that are not suitable in size and / or thickness
to the knife sharpener.
Always use this device after cleaning blades (see section "care and maintenance").
Place the knife sharpener on a flat, stable surface.
Check that the switch is in the OFF position.
Connect the sharpener to the supplied adaptor and plug the adaptor into a power outlet.
Stage 1: Coarse Sharpening
Stage 1 is used for sharpening the cutting edge and restore its shape to a V – cut.
Insert the knife into the left sharpening groove of stage 1, pull the knife with light downward
force from heel to tip for 4-8 seconds (4-6 seconds for 8 inch metal kitchen knife and 6-8
seconds for ceramic knife), allow the left face of the blade to rest on the left face of the slot
when you pull the knife toward yourself, sharpening should be conducted according to shape
of edge.
