Cleaning
In the case of CM1801:
1. Remove the hooks on both sides of the air cleaner cover
and remove the cover.
2. Remove the wing bolt and remove the form element and
paper element. Clean the form element in a tank contain-
ing a detergent and water. Then, dry the form element by
applying compressed air to it or shaking it. After clean-
ing, allow clean engine oil to soak into the form element
and squeeze excess oil. Then, wrap the form element in a
clean cloth and dry it as much as possible by squeezing.
3. Install the form element and paper element. Then, install
them on the main body with the wing bolt.
If the air cleaner is noticeably dirty or damaged,
replace it.
4. Install the cover on the main body.

Air Cleaner Element
• Make sure to clean the air cleaner element
on a regular basis (every 50 hour operation).
A severely contaminated air cleaner element
will badly affect engine startability, power
and life.
• Since air cleaner is dry type, do not use oil.
Also never use compressed air for cleaning
and drying.
• Handle with care for not breaking cleaner or
deform it.
