You can silence or adjust the volume of camera sounds.

Display the menu.

Press the

button.

Choose [Mute].

Move the zoom lever to choose the

tab.

Press the

buttons or turn the

to choose [Mute], then press the

buttons to choose [On].

Press the

button to restore the

normal screen.

You can also mute camera sounds by holding down the

button and

turning the camera on.

If you mute camera sounds, the sound will also be muted when playing
back movies (p. 32). If you press the

button while playing back a

movie, the sound will play back, and you can adjust the volume with the

buttons.

You cannot change the sound settings in

mode.
