4-8 Cleaning The Bottom Plate
Follow this procedure:
1. Connect the power cord, and power on the machine
2. Remove any paper from the Auto Sheet Feeder.
3. Prepare a sheet of A4 or Letter size plain paper. Fold it in half along the long edge. Unfold the paper,
then load it in the paper support with the outside edge of the fold facing down.
4. Press [Menu] repeatedly until <3.MAINTENANCE> appears.
5. Use [Right cursor ] or [Left cursor ] to select <BOTTOM CLEANING>.
6. Press [OK] .
The paper is fed and output.
MEMO:
If this component is still dirty after performing the operation described above, use a clean cotton
bud to remove ink stain, paper powder, and dust around the platen (A).
