Open the
printer cover.

Grasp both sides of the cover and lift up.
Installing the BJ Cartridge
Make sure the MultiPASS C5500 is plugged in.
The LCD reads:
When you plug in the MultiPASS C5500 for the first time the cartridge holder
moves to the center of the unit so you can install the BJ cartridge.
If the cartridge holder is not in the center, press the
CARTRIDGE
button
on the operator panel.
Do not move the cartridge holder manually; this may damage the unit.
Do not touch the ribbon cable, the small circuit board, the guide rail, or the
round shaft.
