Clean the Drum area / 
Light Guide 

    

Clean the upper surface [1] of the Light 
Guide of each color drum unit using the 
blower [2] 

 

Do not touch the surface of the drum. Be 
sure to block light to the removed Drum 
Unit using paper. 

 
 
Clean the Laser Slit 
/Dustproof Glass 
 

•

Open the Front Door and remove the Dustproof Glass Cleaning Tool 
[1] 

 

 

Insert the Dustproof Glass Cleaning Tool [1] 

into the hole [2], and clean the glass by 
moving it back and forth 2 to 3 times  in the 
[A] part 
 

Do not insert the Dustproof Glass 
Cleaning Tool upside down.

If you perform work while in Deep Sleep 
mode or when the power was turned 
OFF while in Deep Sleep Mode, The 
Primary Transfer Roller will not be 
disengaged.
