It is recommended, however, that you
open the feeder, clean the scanning
area (thin glass strip on the platen glass’
left side) with a slightly dampened, well
wrung-out cloth, and then close the
feeder. The following screen depicting
how to clean the thin glass strip will not
appear once the scanning area is clean.
