Placing Originals 2-26
NOTE
•
If the top edge of the original is not aligned
with the back edge of the platen glass (by
the arrow in the top left corner), your
original may not be scanned correctly,
depending on the copy modes that you
have set.
•
Originals of the following sizes can be
placed either vertically or horizontally.
However, the scanning speed for
horizontally placed originals is somewhat
slower than vertically placed originals.
Place originals horizontally when scanning
with a Preset Zoom, such as when
enlarging an LTR/A4 original onto 11" x
17"/A3 paper.
- Platen glass: LTR and STMT/A4, B5, and
A5
- Feeder: LTR and STMT/A4 and B5
•
Horizontally placed LTR and STMT/A4, B5,
and A5 originals are referred to as LTRR
and STMTR/A4R, B5R, and A5R.
•
11" x 17" and LGL/A3 and B4 originals
must be placed horizontally.
