ICC

An abbreviation for International Color Consortium. ICC color profiles are now used in

laser printers, scanners, and bubble-jet printers. Until now color profiles were the

concern of only printing service bureaus responsible for managing color, but with the

introduction of ICC profiles to desktop publishing, now anyone can become involved

with color management. Color profiles allow the printer to communicate its color

profiles so you can coordinate from scanning through graphic imaging, proofing, and

final printing.
