I. Durability Enhancement Program Introduction
A. Purpose
The purpose of the Durability Enhancement Program (DEP) is for Canon U.S.A.
(Canon USA) to provide an efficient, cost effective method by which dealerships
can assist their high volume customers in enhancing the performance life of their
imagePRESS C7010VP Series (imagePRESS C7010VP/C6010VP/C6010),
imagePRESS C7010VPS Series (imagePRESS C7010VPS/C6010VPS/C6010S)
and POD Decks (POD Deck-A1 and Secondary POD Deck-A1).
B. Overview
Canon USA dealerships can assist their high volume customers in enhancing the
performance of their imagePRESS C7010VP Series and imagePRESS
C7010VPS Series devices as usage extends towards the device’s Estimated
Performance Standard (EPS) of 18 million prints (based on Letter sized paper) or
five (5) years, whichever comes first.
The EPS is based on a Canon Inc. estimation using quality evaluation standards
and can be achieved when the imagePRESS is maintained or serviced by a
Canon authorized field service technician using only genuine Canon parts. The
EPS may vary based on the actual customer usage, environment, Job Types,
and Media Types.
The EPS is provided as a guideline for implementation of the DEP and is not to
be considered part of the product warranty or used in conjunction with the
product warranty.
