10. Toner Container and Hopper Unit Yields
A toner container holds approximately 1,200 grams of toner, and will yield
approximately 35,000 impressions at 10% coverage per color totaling 40%.
The hopper unit holds approximately 2,100 grams, and will yield approximately
40,000 impressions.
11. Waste Toner Container Yields
The waste toner bottle collects the waste toner during the printing process.
The customer should replace the waste toner bottle with the provided spare bottle
when the message indicating that the waste toner bottle is full is displayed (at
approximately 50,000 prints). The waste toner bottle may be replaced during
normal machine operation. The waste toner hopper will allow waste toner from
approximately ten thousand 8 1/2" x 11” prints to accumulate, providing enough
time to replace the full waste toner bottle while the machine is in operation. Should
the waste toner hopper fill, the imagePRESS C7000VP will shut down.
The Dealer should empty the full waste toner bottle and dispose of the toner waste
only in a manner as required by the State law in which machine is located. The
emptied bottle should then be returned to the customer prior to the next waste
toner is full alert.
Since collected waste toner can be accumulated in the collected toner buffer
temporarily, even when the collected waste toner bottle becomes full, printing can
be continued for 5,000 sheets of 11” x 17” (A3) paper or 8,400 sheets of LTR (A4)
paper.
When the collected waste toner buffer becomes full, this machine stops.
The approximate number of prints that can be output from the time you are notified
that the collected waste toner buffer is full to when this machine stops is provided
below. However, these numbers are provided as a guide, and may change,
depending on your usage conditions.
-10,000 prints: Calculated with a small-size document of 1% image ratio (Large
size: 5,000 prints)
-5,000 prints: Calculated with a small-size document of 5% image ratio (Large
size: 2,500 prints)
-2,500 prints: Calculated with a small-size document of 10% image ratio (Large
size: 1,250 prints)
Upon replacement of the waste toner bottle, any accumulated toner in the waste
toner buffer empties into the new waste toner bottle.
