Release Operation
When a document is read, the read roller 1 (lower driven rollers) are pressurized/released to
prevent the training edge of the document from swaying.
After separation of the document, the read roller 1 (lower driven rollers) are pressurized by
the Release motor (M2) during formation of a registration loop.
After lapse of the predetermined time since turning off of the document trailing edge
registration sensor, the Release motor is driven to release the read roller 1 (lower driven
rollers).

Detecting Jams
■
Jams
This machine detects document jams using the sensors shown below.
Document jam check timings are stored in the ROM on the reader controller PCB to check
whether a jam has occurred according to presence/absence of a document at the relevant
sensor position.
When a jam occurs, the host machine stores its code.
Jam codes can be checked by outputting a jam error log report in the service mode of the
host machine.
