Mounting the FU-1000 to the XL1S

First, remove the microphone
from the XL1S’s color
viewfinder.

Remove the XL1S’s
color viewfinder.

Disconnect the viewfinder cable
(

).

Loosen the knob on the XL1S
and slide the viewfinder off (
B
).

Mount the FU-1000.

Slide the FU-1000 onto the
XL1S’s mounting unit and
tighten the knob (

).

Attach the battery
adapter to the XL1S’s
power source
attachment unit.

Align the adapter with the line on
the XL1S and slide it up until it
clicks into place (

To remove the adapter, press
and hold the XL1S’s BATT.
RELEASE button while
sliding the adapter down.

Connect the FU-1000 to the
adapter with the viewfinder
cable (

).

Connect the adapter to the
XL1S with the battery adapter
cable (
E
).

Join the two cables with the
cable clip (
E
).

Twist both ends of the clip to
secure.
