Q
Quick-on-line sending
Quick-on-line sending is the easiest and quickest way to send a document. After a
document is loaded into the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder), the copier/fax begins
scanning the entire document into memory. As the first page of a multipage document
is being scanned, your copier/fax begins calling the other party, and transmits the
information even as the remaining pages are being scanned.
■
R

Receiving transmission is also defined as RX or Reception. This refers to how the
copier/fax receives a fax.
Reception
See Receiving.
Redialing-automatic
See Automatic redialing.
Redialing-manual
See Manual redialing.
Reduction mode
See Automatic image reduction.
Registering
A process by which you place fax or telephone numbers, names, and other information
in the copier/fax’s memory.
Regular dialing
Pressing the individual numeric buttons to dial a fax or telephone number. Also known
as Manual dialing.
Remote receiving ID
The two-digit code that enables you to manually activate reception of a fax using an
extension phone connected to the copier/fax. (The default code is 25.)
