Like the <
> (Full Auto) mode, this
is a general-purpose mode to make
picture-taking easy. It sets the shutter
speed and aperture automatically to
suit the subject’s brightness.

Turn the Command Dial to <
>.

Press the shutter button halfway
to focus.

Check the display.
The shutter speed and aperture are
set automatically and displayed in the
viewfinder and on the LCD panel.

If the shutter speed and aperture do
not blink, a correct exposure will be
obtained.

If the shutter speed and aperture
blink, see “Exposure Warning List” on
page 53.
