If the CIS unit comes off, be sure to align the tooth [1] on the belt with the tooth [2] on
the bottom of the CIS unit to install the unit

1) Remove the copyboard cover. (models with copyboard) (Refer to page 4-64)
2) Remove the control panel unit. (models without FAX) (Refer to page 4-79)
3) Remove the copyboard glass. (models with copyboard) (Refer to page 4-66)

Caution:
When assembling/disassembling the CIS unit, take care not to lose the 2 CIS unit
spacers [1].
When assembling/disassembling the CIS unit, do not touch the copy reading area [A] of
the CIS unit.
