Copier Operator’s Manual/Basic Operations

Chapter 4 Making Various Types of Copies

NOTICE:

❍

You can use Image Combination with two-sided originals only when the feeder (optional accessory) is
attached.

❍

Originals copied in the Image Combination mode must be of the same size.

❍

Some modes may not be able to be used with Image Combination.

❍

When placing originals on the platen glass and using the Image Combination mode, copying in the Interrupt
mode is not possible.

MEMO:

●

The reduction ratio is automatically set to match the selected paper size.

●

When the machine is equipped with the feeder, you can set the Auto Count function to ON so that originals
are counted automatically before copying. When making copies from originals placed in the feeder, copying
is performed from the last page. If the number of originals does not coincide with the layout, the first sheet
may not be copied correctly.
The Auto Count function automatically counts originals before copying is started to make sure that the
required number of originals are present to prevent the first sheet from being incorrectly copied.
You can also make copies without the Auto Count function. Set the Auto Count function to OFF, and then
specify the number of originals. This will save the time it takes to count the originals and reduce wear and
tear on the originals.
