Receiving Faxes
Follow this procedure to set the machine for receiving faxes.
For details on receiving features, see the Facsimile Guide.
Enter the Setting Menu Enter the Receive Mode
Press [Menu] and Press [ ] or [ ] to select
<FAX SETTINGS>, then press [OK]. Select <RECEIVE MODE>, then press [OK].

Select the Receive Mode Exit the Setting Menu
Select the receive mode with [ ] or [ ], then
press [OK].
<FaxOnly>: Answers all calls as faxes.
<FAX/TEL>: Switches between fax and voice calls automatically.
<AnsMode>: Receives faxes automatically and records voice
messages.
<NET SWITCH>:Distinguishes between fax and voice calls.
<Manual>: Does not answer any calls. You have to manually receive
faxes.
NOTE
– For <AnsMode>, make sure an answering machine is
connected to the machine.
– The <NET SWITCH> mode is available for certain
countries only and requires subscription to a network
switch server.
Press [Stop/Reset] to return to the standby
display.
What if...
●
You want to cancel receiving:
Press [Stop/Reset].
You can also cancel sending using [Status Monitor].
(See Chapter 7, “System Monitor,” in the User’s
Guide.)
