The scanning time spans from the start of the carriage scanning operation to the output of the document.

2.4.1 Scannable area

When scanning a document, be sure to use the scanning holder to prevent paper jamming. Align the document

with the scanning baseline when placing it in the scanning holder.

The document sizes and scanning area are listed below.

The actual scannable area may vary slightly depending on the monitor's display resolution and the

scanner's scanning resolution.

** If the B5 Scanning Holder (provided with Scanner Cartridge IS-32) is used to scan a large-size

document, the optional A4/LTR Scanning Holder (SH-101) will be required.
