1.3 Dust delete feature
As with the EOS DIGITAL REBEL XTi/400D DIGITAL and EOS-1D Mark III, the camera
incorporates the EOS Integrated Cleaning System to help prevent dust generation, adhesion,
and remaining.
１）Self Cleaning Sensor Unit
While it is basically the same system as the one employed in the EOS-1D Mark III,
the unit uses only one piezoelectric element instead of two, and it is optimized for the
smaller APS-C size instead of the larger APS-H size (Fig. 007 and 008). The dust removal
performance is the same as the EOS DIGITAL REBEL XTi/400D DIGITAL and EOS-1D Mark
III's unit.
The [Sensor cleaning] menu is basically the same as the EOS-1D Mark III's. However,
there are slight differences such as the shutter operation
