SKIDDING OR SLIDING
Slow down and use caution when riding over loose,
slippery, or unstable surfaces such as snow, ice, or mud.
Slides are more likely on slippery or loose surfaces
when turning. If you skid or slide you may lose all steering
control of the ATV and an accident will result.
If you skid sideways when turning on a loose or slippery
surface, steer in the direction of the skid.
WARNING
POTENTIAL HAZARD
Skidding or sliding improperly.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
You may lose control of this ATV.
You may also regain traction unexpectedly, which
may cause the ATV to overturn.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Learn to safely control skidding by practicing at
slow speeds and on level, smooth terrain.
On extremely slippery surfaces, such as ice, go
slowly and be very cautious in order to reduce the
chance of skidding or sliding out of control.
