SHORE POWER
The battery charging system operates automatically to charge and maintain the batteries. It is recommended to plug in the battery charger whenever
the boat is dockside. After fully discharged (at 80% depth of discharge), the charger should be plugged in for at least 12 hours whenever possible.
When in storage, it is recommentded to either leave the charger plugged in all the times, or for at least 8 hours monthly to maintain a full charge.
Shore Power should be standard 125 Volt AC 20 ampere or 220V - 2- ampere service. The Shore Power cable should always be plugged in with dockside
power disconnected by assuring the dock side circuit braker is turned OFF. After the Shore power cord is connected to the boat, the shore power circuit
breaker can be turned on.
To ensure that the charger is operating properly, check that the green indicator light located on the charger is on. During charging, your E-Meter should
display a positive number to indicate that current is flowing to the batteries.

Make sure that shore power circuit is equipped with a breaker unit when you dock your boat.
If power cord falls into water, the shore power breaker should automatically cut the flow of electricity. Don’t take any risk: never swim close to a boat
when the batteries are charging.
The shore power main breaker should also protect your boat from overcharge. It may happen that a failure in the circuit will permit the flow of
overloaded electricity into the boat. The boat’s main breaker will protect the vital components like the motor, the navigation lights and the bilge
pump, but not the charger and the batteries. They could be affected by the overload, or even be damaged beyond repair.

Small power cord with less than 20A of capacity will likely overheat, increasing the risk of causing a fire. Never use a power cord of
less than 20A capacity.

RECOMMENDED POWER CORD
Recommanded shore power cord : Marinco 30A 125V 50' Power Cord Plus or 30A 240V - 50’ Power cord. CEBC recommands that you
use a waterproof power cord of at least 30A of capacity. New 30 amp 125 volt 50' cordset features Ergo Grip- molded ends contoured
to the grip of the boaters hand. The LED indicator light molded into the female end of the cord confirms connection.
