MICROPROCESSOR
A central processing unit manufactured on a single integrated circuit chip
MODULE
An assembly of wired components of an electronic device (i.e.. input module,
analogic module, etc.)
OUTPUT
In electronics synonymous with output signal
PALLET
A wooden platform used in conjunction with a fork lift for lifting and moving
materials
PATTERN
An element reproduced from an original, suitable for various production techniques
POTENTIOMETER
A resistor having a continuously adjustable sliding contact used as current variator
PULLEY
A metal wheel mounted on a rotating shaft and carrying a belt to transmit motion
RECTIFIER
A circuit component that allows current to flow in one direction, used to convert a
current into continuous
RELAY
A device that is operated by a variation in the conditions in one electric circuit and
serves to make or break one or more connections in the same or another electric
circuit
SENSOR
An electronic device that senses the change in a physical quantity for an informa
tion-gathering system
SHOE
A component sliding on the surface of a part to guide it
TERMINAL BOARD
An insulating mounting for terminal connections
THICKNESS GAUGE
A small instrument used to measure the thickness of a material before and/or after
splitting
TRANSFORMER
An electrical component that transforms the alternate current by decreasing or
increasing the voltage
VOLTAGE
Potential difference between two points of a conductor or circuit
