Top Feed Roll
Required for hardly sliding stock above 0.5 mm thick or for pattern splitting.
Steady Guide Bar
Required for high precision splitting and/or close splitting tolerances.
Interchanging Top Feed Roll/Steady Guide Bar
Depress the EMERGENCY switch SB1 (fig. 1 and 2).
Increase the splitting thickness by 4 mm to facilitate interchanging. Open the top
covers C1 (fig. 1), remove the feed table PEM (fig. 1) loosen the two screws V (see
fig. beside).
Remove the mounted feed roll or steady guide bar and mount the required one. If you
mount the feed roll make sure that the left end correctly engages the toothing.
Tighten scres V (fig. beside). Reassamble the feed table PEM and the top covers C1
(fig. 1).
Release the EMERGENCY switch, reset the required splitting thickness and restart
splitting.
Knurled Bottom Feed Roll
The roll is mounted standard on the machine.
Rubber-Coated Bottom Feed Roll
Used for high precision splitting, pattern splitting, equalizing and skiving belts and
parts for wallets, bags, etc..
Automatic Incision Device
Used for automatic incision of uppers and for partial incision.

1 Switch on the device by means of push-button SB4 (par. 6-2)
2 Set the incision length by means of regulator RP3 (par. 6-2)
For the use of the incision device set the bottom roll pressure to the minimum value
indispensable for the feed.
