When working with UV light, especially with short-wave UV
light, be sure to protect your eyes and skin from direct radiation,
which inevitably causes irritation and inflammation. Ordinary
goggles provide protection, but it is advisable to wear safety
glasses or a face shield and gloves. See table with intensities and
maximum exposure times (daily dose) in this manual

Servicing the instrument with the lamp compartment open and
the Mercury or Deuterium lamp ON can be dangerous because
of the emitted UV light. Protective goggles and UV absorbent
gloves must be worn
•
To ensure sufficient cooling, the ventilation holes of the instru-
ment must never be obstructed
