IV. MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE

IMPORTANT

Before cleaning the device, make sure the product is turned off by turning the knob coun-
ter-clockwise and disconnecting it from the electrical power connection.
Do not use insecticides, solvents or aggressive detergents that could damage the painted parts
or plastic materials

To ensure the efficacy and long life of your water heater, we recommend:

To keep your appliance in perfect state, clean the resistance approximately every two years. If
the appliance uses water that is characterized as very hard water, clean them more frequently
(1/year), or we recommend using a water softener.
The use of decalcifying liquid is recommended, but if not used, the resistance can be cleaned
by removing the crusted lime, taking special care not to damage the resistance shell.
The magnesium anode (Fig.1) must be replaced every two years; otherwise, the warranty will
immediately be rendered void. With aggressive water, or water high in chlorides, checking the
state of the anode is recommended once a year. To replace it, the resistance must be removed
and unscrewed from the securing clamp.

Important: the magnesium anode is a consumable element, not replaceable through war-
ranty.

Emptying the Appliance

•  Empty the appliance as indicated here (See Fig.7):

1.  Close the cold-water inlet valve.
2.  Open the hot water tap (sink or shower).
3.  Drain the heater by raising the relief valve lever (closed system), or if a drain valve is in-

stalled (open system), open it, until all the water comes out of the heater.

FIG. 7

To fill the heater, open the supply valve on the cold-water supply pipe.
Open a hot water tap slowly (preferably the shower) to allow air to exit the heater and the pipe.
A continuous water flow at the hot water tap indicates that the heater is full of water.
