Quick Set Up
1. Check shipment for any potential concealed damage.
a. All shipments leave our warehouse wrapped
in Orange shrink wrap. If you received your shipment
without Orange shrink wrap, it has been repackaged
in transit and care should be taken when checking
for concealed damage.
b. All shipments leave our warehouse with a triangle
cone attached to the top to prevent top stacking by
the carrier. If your shipment arrives with this triangle
cone crushed or missing, care should be taken when
checking for damage.
c. Product will be received:
i. Without damage – sign the receiver without any
notations and keep a copy for your records.
ii. With damage – Note on the receiver all damage
and keep a copy for your records. If the damage
is not noted at this time the shipment will be
regarded as received by you without damage.
2. Remove all packing material and save until you have
verified all parts are in good condition.
3. Separate your shipment
a. Fire Pit Base
b. Media
c. Granite
d. Adaptor ring (where applicable)
e. Granite insert (when appropriate)
4. Open the box containing the Fire Pit Base and be sure
that you have all parts.
a. Base
b. Trim Ring
c. Transition Ring (Del Mar Only)
d. Burner
5. You will need to disconnect the burner from the con-
necting hose to complete the assembly of your Fire Pit.
6. If you are using Natural Gas:
i. You will not need the hose with a regulator that
is included.
ii. You will need to change out the LP orifice that is
attached to the bottom of your burner to the NG
orifice which is included in your burner box.
iii. When using natural gas you need to install the
natural gas orifice and then the brass adaptor. You
will need to provide a listed flex hose to go from
the natural gas source, normally a gas stub to the
inlet side of the on/off valve on the unit. Again
always check all connections with a soapy solution
to check for leaks.
7. Check all fittings to be sure that they are secure. Code
requires that all fittings be tested with soapy water prior
to lighting to be sure that the fitting is secure.
8. Set your base in your desired location being sure it is on
a flat, well supported and level place.
9. If you have a Del Mar Fire Pit, now is the time to place
the transition in place.
